Ezekiel 37:1-10 (NKJV): The Dry Bones Live

“1 The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live?’So I answered, ‘O Lord God, You know.’“4 Again He said to me, ‘Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, “O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: ‘Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.’“7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.“9 Also He said to me, ‘Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the [a] breath, “Thus says the Lord God: ‘Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.’ 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and [b] breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.”

Ezekiel 37:10 (NKJV): “So I prophesied as He commanded me, and [b] breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.”

I See “The Breath of God” Blowing All Over This Place, Into the People.

I See “Life”People Coming Alive—People Who Were Once Dead.

I See “People On Their Feet”“The Lame Shall Walk and the Blind Shall See

I See An “Exceedingly Great Army”Marching Toward the Enemy

Ezekiel 37:11 (NKJV): “Then He said to me, ‘Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’”

3 Kinds of Church Folk Who Need a Fresh Baptism in the Holy Ghost:

The ReligiousOur Bones Are Dry! 2 Timothy 3:5 (NKJV), Paul Gives a Warning of People: “having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” Colossians 2:1-8 (NKJV): 2 For I want you to know what a great conflict [a] I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, [b] both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.4 Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing [c] to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding [d] in it with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest anyone [e]cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.”

The ReluctantOur Hope is Lost! The Lack of Hope Comes From a Lack of Faith. James 1:2-8 (NKJV): 2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b] perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

The RevokedWe Ourselves Are Cut Off! Psalm 51:10-13 (NKJV), David Prayed — Don’t Cut Me Off: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salva-tion, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.” John 15:5-6 (NKJV)

Jesus Taught that Abiding in Him Brought Connection:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”

To Close, Ezekiel 37:12-14 (NKJV): 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’”
