Hold The Line

Welcome: Dear Moms, it is with great respect and extreme honor to say personally, “Happy Mother’s Day!” New Mothers, Young Mothers and Older Mothers All have something in common with all of us: Pressure. Pressure, Problems and People Can Often Push Against Our Peace, And Seek To Pull Us From His Presence. 

Philippians 4:4-7 (NIV): Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”–To Be Glad, To Be Well, To Be Happy, Always! “Let your gentleness be evident to all.” Be Gentle, Moderate—>Why? 

The Lord is Near! Forbearance = patient self-control; restraint and tolerance. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the Peace of God, which transcends (surpasses) all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  

The “Peace of God” Which Surpasses All Understanding Only Comes From “The God of Peace” Who Understands All That You Are Going Through. The “Peace of God” Comes From The “God of Peace.” Why?—–>Because this world cannot give what it does not have. John 14:27 (NIV): “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” 

Deplete Yourself of All Anxiety and Worry. Do Not Be Anxious About Anything—–>What Constitutes Anything? Everything. 103 times the Bible says “Do Not Be Afraid” and over 500 passages deal with fear. Peace is the absence of fear and the presence of the Lord—He Is Near. Matthew 6:25 (NIV): Therefore I tell you, do not “worry” about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” 

Whatever “Worries” You “Controls” You—–>Worry = To Gnaw On

Develop Yourself in Prayer, Petition and Presentation to God. Philippians 4:6 (NIV): “…but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” PrayerCommu-nion with the Lord. Petition = To Make a Formal Request—–>There is Great Power in Agreement. Matthew 18:20 (NIV): “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” 

Devote Yourself to Carry Out God’s Word (Put Into Practice). Philippians 4:8-9 (NIV): “Finally, bro-thers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure,whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable,–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in meput it into practice. And the God of Peace will be with you.”

James 1:22-25 (NIV): Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But who-ever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.”
