The Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation

According to the Psalmist there is a “Spirit of Faith” – Psalm 116. The Apostle Paul echoes this in 2 Corinthians 4:13 (NKJV): “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,” The Spirit of Faith Produces the Substance of Faith. According to the Apostle Paul the “Spirit of Faith” gives us the ability to see and speak. We Believe and Therefore We Speak —–> How?

Ephesians 1:15-21 (NKJV): “Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”

The Spirit of God is For and In the Children of God

The Spirit of Faith Has a Very Important Role in the Life of the Believer. By Faith: Calls things even thought they are not as though they are; Has the ability to tell Mountains to throw themselves into the Sea; Important to giving, receiving and believing; It is impossible to please the Lord without it.

The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation—Equally Important—Should Never Be Separated.

The Spirit of Faith Gives Us the Ability to “See” Supernaturally—How? Through the Spirit of Revelation. Seeing is Believing and Believing is Seeing. It is the eyes of the Spirit in the hearts of believers. Ephesians 1:17-19 (NIV): “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”

Prayer is Us Communicating to God—Upward

Revelation is God Communicating to Us—Downward

Revelation is a Picture of What God Wants—Lights On

The Spirit of Wisdom Gives Us the Ability to Know Supernaturally. Ephesians 17-19 (NIV): I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” Know the Hope to which He has called you. Hope = elpis—–>Expectation. Knowing the Expectation of His calling. Know the Riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people. Know His Incomparable Great Power.
