Pathway to Promotion

Philippians 1:3-8 (NLT):  “Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, (5) for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (7) So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News. God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus.”

Start Partnering With Advancing the Gospel. Philippians 1:5 (NLT): for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.”Mark 16:15-16 (NLT): “And then he told them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.’”

Luke 14:23 (NLT): “So his master said, ‘Go out into the the country lanes and behind the hedges and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full.’”

Stop Trying to Advance Your Own Interests. Philippians 2:3-4 (NLT): “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.”

Humility Is a Key that gets the attention of God and Leaders

Pride Is a Killer that also gets the attention of God and Leaders

James 4:6 (NLT): “And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’” 1 Peter 5:6-7 (NLT): So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” James 4:10 (NLT): “Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will exalt you.”

Seek Joy and Do Not Worry. Philippians 4:4-5 (NLT): “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.” Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT): “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Put It All Into Practice. Philippians 4:8-9 (NLT): “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”
