Ezekiel 36:24-28 (NKJV): “For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.” 

A New Heart and A New Spirit Make a New (Jerusalem) You! Ezekiel → Prophet → Judgement, Destruction, Repentance and Restoration. His message: refuse to listen, refuse to obey, refuse to repent = destruction. Also in his message: If you listen, if you obey, if you repent = reconstruction.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV): “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 

THE LORD WILL PURIFY HIS PEOPLE (Purification). “I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols,” Ezekiel 36:25 (NKJV). The Sprinkling is Referring To Ceremonial Purification, as with a woman’s menstruation period —> must be cleansed. This is Not referred to water baptisms, but is for Israel’s need for purity. Sin Must Be Dealt With —> Romans 6:23 (NKJV): “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

THE LORD WILL TRANSFORM HIS PEOPLE (Regeneration). “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh,” Ezekiel 36: 26 (NKJV). There are many who have been cleansed but not transformed. A cleaned up old life is not the same as a brand new life. Our Water Baptism Is A Symbol —–> Death to New Life —–> Romans 6:4 (NKJV): “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”  

THE LORD WILL LIVE INSIDE OF YOU (Impartation). “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” The New Life Is a Glorified Life, Colossians 3:4 (NKJV): “When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.”
