The Spirit of Change

John 16:5-16 (NKJV): The Work of  the Holy Spirit.  "5"But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?' But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper  will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He [a] will take of Mine and declare it to you.'"

Luke 24:49 (NLT): "And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven."

Acts 1:8 (NLT): "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Acts 2:1-4 (NLT): "On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability."

THE HOLY SPIRIT:

Changes The Way We See – Perception.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (NLT): "That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.' But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God's deep secrets."

Changes They Way We Speak – Communication.

When the Apostle Paul got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost the Bible Says that He Immediately Began To Preach and Testify. A Radical Change Comes From A Radical Touch  – Acts 9  Blinded – When the Scales Fell Off. He went From Persecuting to Preaching, Encounters Lead To Empowerment.

Jesus Said This: John 12:49-50 (NLT): "I don't speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it. And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say."

Changes Who We Are – Disposition.

People Stumble because they don't obey God's word and never change.

A Life At The Altar Will Alter The Life. Romans 5:6 (ESV): "At just the right time Christ died for the Ungodly." When You Receive Christ It Will "Transition" You. When You Receive The Holy Spirit He Will "Transform" You.

1 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT): "So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image." Because The Holy Spirit Changes Who We Are; It Changes What We Do!

Changes What We Do – Dedication.

If you are not living what you are loosing, then you are just lying. Illumination Happens on the inside before it shines on the outside. Services rendered in the flesh are nothing more than pandering.

Romans 8:5-6 (NLT): "Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace."

Galatians 5:16 (NLT): "So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves." Romans 8:14-15 (NLT): "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves."

Changes Where We Go – Direction.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (): "Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you." Deuteronomy 1:30-31 (): "The Lord your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt. And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place." Psalm 139:5 (): "You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head."
