Walking In Victory

1 Corinthians 15:57- 58 (NIV): “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
Choose Worship Over Worry
Matthew 6:34 (NIV): “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:33 (NIV): “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Hebrews 12:28-29 (NIV): “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence & awe, for our ‘God is a consuming fire.’”
Nothing puts everything into perspective like gazing upon the majesty of the Almighty.
Psalm 34:3 (NASB 1995): “O magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.”
“Magnify the Lord.” When He is magnified, our perspective changes: Everything else seems smaller, less significant.
Choose Prayer Over Panic
Prayer strengthens us and gives us peace
Philippians 4:4-7 (NLT): “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! 5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Seek Scripture In All Situations
2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT): “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”
Romans 15:4 (NLT): “Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.”
Psalm 119:50 (NLT): “Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.”
Psalm 119:81 (NLT): “I am worn out waiting for your rescue, but I have put my hope in your word.”
Think Up Not Down
Colossians 3:1-2 (NIV): “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV): “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
Be Filled With The Spirit
Ephesians 5:17-18 (NLT): “Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,
Walk in the Spirit
Ephesians 4:27 (NIV): “Don’t give the enemy a foothold.” Confess any known sin. Avoid places or people that tend to bring you down. Galatians 5:22-26 (NASB 1995): “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who [a] belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also [b] walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.” Keep in Step with the Spirit.
Rest in the Lord
“…and having done all, stand.” Ephesians 6. Worrying can’t change the situation anyway.
“Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him;” Psalm 37:7 (NASB 1995)
“I waited patiently for the Lord and He Turned and Heard My Cry.” Psalm 40:1 (NIV)
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV): “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
