As We Thinketh

Proverbs 23:7 (KJV): “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

The mind is the battlefield of the believer. What you continually think about, you eventually become.

Thoughts shape beliefs, beliefs shape behavior, and behavior shapes destiny. Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, reminds us: “As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

If you want to change your life, you must first change your mind.

We Are 3 Dimensional Beings —> 3 Parts 1 Man —-> 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NASB 1995): Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Spirit: The Inner Man = The Heart of Man

Soul: Mind, Will and Emotions

Body: The Outer Man

The Mind Is The Battleground and Pivotal Place For Supernatural Engagement

2 Timothy 1:7 (YLT): “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Before the devil can destroy or defile you; he first has to deceive you. Your mind is the portal of dominion. What ever controls your mind controls your life.

Your Mind Actually Determines The Level of Your Supernatural Activity. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV): “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”

Change Doesn’t Happen Over Night —> It Happens Over Decisions

THOUGHTS DEFINE IDENTITY: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”

You are not what people say about you — You are what you say about you. The word “thinketh” here is not casual — it’s deep reflection, a continual work. Romans 12:2 (NASB 1995): “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” A Caterpillar crawls until it realizes it was meant to fly. Philippians 4:8: “Think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good.”

If you’re constantly thinking defeated thoughts, you’ll soon be living a defeated life.

THOUGHTS DIRECT ACTIONS.

Every action begins as a thought. What lives in your mind will soon live in your life.

Proverbs 4:23 (KJV): “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

A farmer never plants corn and expects tomatoes. Likewise, you can’t entertain thoughts of fear, lust, or doubt and expect a harvest of peace, purity, and faith.” Matthew 12:34 (NKJV): “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Guard what goes into your mind: music, conversations, media, people. What you feed your mind determines what you’ll find in life.

THOUGHTS DETERMINE YOUR DESTINY.

Your mind is the steering wheel of your life. What occupies your mind today will shape your tomorrow.

God wants to renew your mind so He can redirect your life. Isaiah 26:3 (KJV): “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee.” Ephesians 4:23 (NKJV): “Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” Two prisoners can look through the same bars — one sees mud, the other sees stars.

The difference isn’t their position, It’s their perspective.

To Close:

Stop rehearsing your past and start renewing your mind.

Stop focusing on what’s wrong and start thinking on what’s right

You Are One Decision Away From Changing Your Destiny
