Built To Last

2 Timothy 2:2 (NLT): “Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other  trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”

Be Strengthened by His Grace Today, Not Something Else. Let the Favor of God Build You Up.

“Be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.”

You don’t “Thrive” in faith, leadership, or calling by the “Grind”—you “Thrive” by “His Grace.”

Grace is not a backup plan; it’s the power source. God never asks Timothy to rely on his talent—only on his faith in Christ. The strength God gives is renewable, not exhaustible. In  2 Corinthians 12:9, three times Paul asked the Lord to remove the thorn in his flesh. The Lord’s response: “My Grace Is Sufficient.” John 15:5 (NLT): “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

His Grace will Carry you Through Whatever God Calls You To.

The Gospel Must be Received, Not Redefined. Don’t Reject or Twist the Truth.

“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses.”

You must be a steward of the message before you are a messenger of it. Timothy is reminded that the gospel did not start with him. “Truth” is not something “We Edit”—it’s something “We Embrace.”

Reliable witnesses remind us that faith has a track record. We live in a culture that always wants “new” truth instead of “true” truth. You don’t need a “New Message”—you just need a revelation of “The Message.” Proverbs 22:28 (NLT): “Don’t cheat your neighbor by moving the ancient boundaries…” Hebrews 13:8 (NLT): “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

The Gospel Must Be Released After It Has Been Received — Pass It On!!!

“Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”

Paul admonishes Timothy to teach trustworthy people. The “Focus” should be “Carriers” just as much as “Crowds.” A Faith that stops with you is a faith that stopped in you.

Success is not what you build, but what continues after you’re gone. A Legacy is simply” “Something Handed Down.” Psalm 145:4 (World English Bible): “One generation will commend your works to another…”

God’s Grace Strengthens You. His Truth Stabilizes You. The Gospel Multiplies You
