The Year of Establishment

Proverbs 16:3 (NASB): “Commit (your works) to the LORD And (your plans) will be established.”

Commit: carry out or perpetrate; galal: to roll or flow together

Establish: set up or firm up; kun: prepare, fix or render ready

Establishment Begins With Surrender Not Strategy. Nothing is Truly Established Until it is Fully Surrendered. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)

Establishment Focuses on Stewardship not Ownership, Be Faithful With Little, Ruler Over Much.

Establishment Is Forged by Consistency Not Convenience. Consistency Labors For Commitment.

Be Ye Steadfast! “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” 1 Corinthians 15:58 (ESV)

Establishment Happens When Obedience Turns into Trust.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way.”  Psalm 37:23 (NKJV)

Establishment Is Proven In Pressure Not Comfort.

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25 (NKJV)

Establishment Is Not the Absence of Struggles, But the Presence of Divine Strength.

“He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”  Isaiah 4:29-31 (NKJV)

In Closing:

God Doesn’t Establish Us To Survive, He Establishes Us To Shine

What God Establishes, No One Can Erase

God Establishes People He Intends To Use Powerfully
