The Hand of God

Text:

  • Deuteronomy 26:7-10 (NKJV) – We cried out to the LORD God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression. So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, “a land flowing with milk and honey”; and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O LORD, have given me.’

Transition:

  • Isaiah 41:13 (NKJV) – For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.

Body: The Hand of God Will Help You

  1. Stabilize Your Walk
    1. Habakkuk 3:19 (NLT) – The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.
  2. Strengthen Your Weaknesses
    1. Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) – Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
  3. Protect You From Your Enemies
    1. Psalm 138:7-8 (NJKV)  – Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
    2. Job 36:32  “He covers His hands with the lightning, And commands it to strike the mark.
  4. Delivers You From Your Troubles
    1. Exodus 13:3 (NJKV) – And Moses said to the people: “Remember this day in which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out of this place.
  5. Secures Your Victory
    1. Psalm 98:1 (NKJV)  – Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.
  6. Satisfies Your Desires
    1. Psalm 145:16 – You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
    1. Psalm 104:28 –  You give to them, they gather it up; You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good.
  8. Stretch Out Your Time
    1. Psalm 31:15 (NKJV) – My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.

Closing:

  • Isaiah 59:1 (NKJV) – Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
