I Shall Be Anointed with Fresh Oil

Psalm 92:10-15 (ESV): But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil. (11) My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants. (12) The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. (13) They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God. (14) They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green, (15) to declare that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” Psalm 92:10 (NKJV): “But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.”

We Must Remember King Saul Was Anointed. 1 Samuel 10:1 (ESV): “Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head and kissed him and said, ‘Has not the LORD anointed you to be prince over his people Israel? And you shall reign over the people of the LORD and you will save them from the hand of their surrounding enemies. And this shall be the sign to you that the LORD has anointed you to be prince over his heritage.’”  1 Samuel 10:6 (ESV): “Then the Spirit of the LORD will rush upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.”

We Must Remember That King David Was Anointed. 1 Samuel 16:13 (NLT):  “So as David stood there among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon David from that day on. Then Samuel returned to Ramah.”

We Must Remember That Jesus Was Anointed. Acts 10:38 (NLT): “And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”

We Must Be Filled and Refilled. Active Tense —> Ephesians 5:17-18 (ESV): “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit.”
