Decisions, Decisions—Biblical Wisdom For Life’s Choices

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT): “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understand-ing. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

We Have All Found Ourselves Standing at a Crossroads In Life. Should I do this or should I do that? Should I buy now or should I buy later? Should I eat this or should I eat that? Should I save it or should I get rid of it? Should I stay or should I go now? Most people are unaware that our decisions determine our destinies. The decisions you make today determine your future tomorrow. Life for most people is a series of ups and downs.

We can’t complain about our position today without taking ownership of our decisions from yesterday. What you do today will decide what you get tomorrow. Kingdom Success Isn’t Determined by Skill; It’s Determined By Submission.

Life is Simply a Series of Path-Deciding Decisions: Good, Bad, and Ugly. Psalm 16:11 (NKJV): “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Proverbs 14:12 (NLT): “There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.”

The Spirit of Wisdom Stands at the Crossroads of Those Paths. Proverbs 8:1-2 (NLT): “Listen as wisdom calls out! Hear as understanding raises her voice! On the hilltop along the road, she takes her stand at the crossroads.” Proverbs 16:1 (NLT): “We can make our own plans, but the LORD gives the right answer.”

Proverbs 18:15 (NLT): “Intelligent people are always read to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge.”

Proverbs 11:2 (NLT): “Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”

Listening to the Right Voice Will Help You Make the Right Choice. Jeremiah 6:16-17 (NLT): “This is what the LORD says: ‘Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, “No, that’s not the road we want!” I posted watchmen over you who said, ‘Listen for the sound of the alarm.’ But you replied, “No! We won’t pay attention!”

Daniel 12:3 (NLT): “Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.”
