Capturing The Mind of Christ

Philippians 2:5-8 (NKJV): “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Five Mindful Aspects of Christ Every Believer Should Possess:

He Was Humble, Philippians 2:8 (NKJV): “He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

He Was Patient, 2 Peter 3:9 (NIV): “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

He Was Sacrificial, Romans 5:8 (NKJV): “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

He Was Obedient, Philippians 2:8 (NKJV): “He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

He Was Purposeful, Luke 19:10 (NKJV): “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” 

Romans 15:5-6 (NLT): “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

How To Capture The Mind of Christ: 

Psalm 1:1-3 (NIV): “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”

Romans 12:2 (NIV): “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Philippians 4:8 (NIV): “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” 

2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV): “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Take EVERY thought Captive – Sin Starts in the Mind!!!

We Should Be Careful of Our Thoughts Because They Could Become Actions At Any Moment !!

Colossians 3:2 (NIV): “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
