VIII: New Things

Something New

Isaiah 43:14-17 (NLT): “This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel…” Redeemer: A Person Who Redeems Something or Someone. Redeem: To Compensate For the Faults or Bad Aspects of Something.  To Buy Back or Pay for Someone Else. Kinsman Redeemer—Next of Kin—-> Text, Brother’s Widow.  ”For your sakes I will send an army against Babylon, forcing the Babylonians to flee in those ships they are so proud of. I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King. I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick.”

In Case You Forgot—–>Five Promises For You and Your Enemies

The Lord will bring everything hidden into the light, Luke 6:27 (NLT): “But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you.”

The Lord will avenge you, Romans 12:19 (ESV): “Beloved, Never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord.”

The Lord won’t let enemies succeed against you, Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV): “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.”

The Lord will prepare a table before you, Psalm 23:5 (NLT): “You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.”

The Lord will help you defeat the real enemy, Ephesians 6:12 (NLT) tells us that “we do not fight against flesh-and-blood enemies but against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT): “But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland!”

Something New

This is the 8th Month—8 is the Number of New Beginnings. Last Month Was the 7th Month, It Was a Month of Divine Perfection. This is the Month to Start Something New. New Starts, New Plans.

Create New Starts. Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV): “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.” There Should Be None of Your Old Life In Your New Life! Old Things Have Passed Away—-Carry Around a Carcass? It Stinks! This Is a Great Time to Start “New Things.” Sow Something New This Season and Harvest Something New Next Season. New Workouts—Physical Exercise—Training. ½ hour cardio adds length to life, better brain activity. New Work Ins—Spiritual Exercise—Studying. ½ hour cardio adds eternal life, better spiritual connectivity.

Create New Plans. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV): “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Plans To “Prosper”

Prosper Emotionally—Heart—> Father, Family, Friends

Prosper Vocationally—Hands—> Grind, Gift, Giving

Prosper Intellectually—Head—> Reading, Thinking, Developing

Prosper Intentionally—Habits—> Routines, Systems & Processes

“Prosper” Definition: To be successful; to succeed; to be fortunate; to thrive; to make gain;

to advance; to favor; to render successful; to grow strong; to increase mightily. Success doesn’t happen by accident—it happens on purpose!  If you fail to plan then you plan to fail!

A Prosperous Church Is the Result of a Word-Focused Church! Psalm 1:1-3 (NLT): “Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”

Crossroads Prospers By Focusing On Two Things!

Focusing On Our Relationships: God and Man = Prosper Even As Your Soul Prospers

Focusing On Our Responsibilities: His Will and His Ways = The Principle of the Path

In Closing, It Creates a New Hope. A Plan Without Hope is a Plan Without Christ! Ephesians 1:18 (NLT): “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.”

We Can Be Confident In Hope Because We Can Be Confident In Christ! Hebrews 10:23 (NLT): “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”

It Also Creates a New Future
